Inspired by the original bakery in southern Louisiana called the McKenzie bakery. The McKenzie bakery was claimed to have been the first to add a baby into their King cake and then Voila, it became an expectation! we make this roll with the same handcrafted golden brioche dough as our other King Cakes; however, this one has flavors of lemon, nutmeg and a hint of winter spices! This king cake is braided into that traditional ring shape and it is then baked to golden brown and then topped with colorful sugar for that perfect crunch! it’s a crowd-pleaser for Mardi Gras parties.
